Overview of Coaching Packages

At CMCI, we have developed our training plans so that we can offer the best services to our athletes and their budgets to help them achieve their goals.  We offer 5 levels of packages to fit every athlete, budget, and goal.  CMCI coaches triathletes, multi-sport and cyclists athletes wishing to excel to the top levels in their discipline.

We bring a wealth of of the latest training, coaching, nutritional and racing experience to help you achieve your goals.  Its no suprise that the best athletes excel under the close supervision of an excellent coach along with a consistent and long term training methodology.  Every athlete is different and our job is to learn what will make you better and help get you to that next level.  

With the demands and stress of jobs, work, kids, and personal life, its our job to make sure that you get the most out of your training and goals.  We've coached hundreds of athletes, we've competed at the highest levels of sport, and we know what it takes to be the best and win.

Feature Descriptions


Work with certified CMCI coach:  This gives you access to a coach who has been trained by CMCI on the methodology and has experience coaching athletes. 

Work with Senior CMCI coach:
This is a senior-level CMCI coach that has several years of coaching experience, has competed at top levels in the sport, and has coached their athletes to the top level in their sport. 

Work directly with Chann McRae:
  Under this plan, you will be coached by Chann McRae personally.  Chann has competed for over 25 years in cycling and triathlon at the top levels of the sport.  He has worked with the top athletes, coaches, trainers, doctors, and experts in the world.  He also currently works  as a director with Slipstream professional cycling team and has access to the latest information, training, and experts in the sport.  With this package, you get the same attention, focus, and experience that has made Chann one of the top athletes in the world.

Expert Analysis of power and/or heart rate files:  All plans include expert analysis of power and heart rate data.  We are close partners with TrainingPeaks and use their software and website for doing analysis. 

Strategies and techniques for optimal performance: To be the best, you need to start practicing winning behaviors.  Training is certainly a necessary part of improving, but there are many other variables that go into having a winning performance.  By having an experienced coach, they can monitor your progress and help you focus on what is important.  They can also give you the tools and techniques to train and race consistently at a high level. 

Fitness improvement and sport-specific training:
  All of our plans have the goal of improving your overall fitness and power.  We will focus on your specific sport by aligning you with an experienced coach in that discipline. 

Multiple sports and cross-training:
  Whether you are focused on one sport or a multi-sport athlete, we incorporate various training techniques into your program.  This may include tailoring your training to incorporate weights, yoga, plyometrics, core strength, and other activities throughout the season. 

Hand-built training schedule:
All training programs are built around your season goals, your strengths/weaknesses, and amount of time you have to train each week.  The best coaches know how to maximum your training time each week so that you aren’t doing wasted effort. 

Access to member-only website with newsletters, training material, podcasts, etc.:
  All members have a login to the CMCI website that has a wealth of information on several topics.  It also has a forum for coaches and athletes to have discussions on various topics.  We will use various technologies such as newsfeeds and podcasts to share information that is important and useful to your training. 

Race Result Analysis and feedback:
  What went right and wrong during a race is much more than looking at the results.  Sometimes it takes an experienced coach to discuss the race with their athlete and give them guidance for what went well and where they can improve next time.  There are many obstacles that athletes can be faced with on race day and an experienced coach can give you the proper guidance and direction. 

Member initiated communication via phone, email, and online:
  All of our packages include direct communication with your coach.  Some people desire more direct communication with their coach each week, so we have plans to accommodate that.  CMCI will respond to your communications within 24 hours Sunday-Thursday.   

Strategic Race Planning:
  Your coach will help you determine what races you should focus on and map out your training plan around these key events.   

Mental preparation and planning:
  The top athletes in the world have that ability to focus and get in the “zone”.  Our coaches will give you tools and techniques to improve your mental preparation.  You coach will give you expert guidance in how to prepare for races, how to deal with competition, and how to handle stress effectively. 

Coach initiated communication via phone and email:
  Your coach will pro-actively communicate and check-in with you to see how things are going.  Your coach will also closely monitor your heart rate and power files to see when things may need to be changed. 

Onsite visits from your coach for races**:
  The top athletes in the world have their coaches by their side at their most important events.  Our coaches will be available to come to your event and be there to support you. 

Nutritional Analysis and advice:
  Our coaches know how important it is to get proper nutrition during training and during your event.  They can give you the latest information about maintaining the proper nutrition and weight while making sure you are properly fueled for competition. 

Dynamic Schedule Adjustments:
  Some people have very busy schedules and life can throw you curve balls.  With this option, your coach can actively make changes to your program based on your schedule. 

Physiological testing, VO2max, lactate threshold **:
  We have the ability to conduct physiological testing in the lab as well as in the field.  In some cases this may mean traveling to a location to conduct testing with the athlete directly.  In other cases, it may mean having the athlete go to a testing lab and the coach will review the results and make adjustments accordingly. 

Onsite training with Coach **:
  Having the ability to train with your coach is a big benefit.  Not only do you get personal one on one time, you also get direct, active feedback that a coach can only give you in person.  Seeing how you workout and train or race can give a coach good insight into how you can improve and get better. 

Video analysis of technique **:
  Having filming analysis of athletes running, biking or swimming is another tool that allows the coach to give feedback on form, fit, and motion.  Your coach will be able to see if there are any areas that need attention and make appropriate recommendations.  Participate in pro equipment deals with sponsors:  CMCI has access to top equipment and nutrition sponsors often times at huge costs savings. 

Access to training camps and skills clinics:
  With this option, you have access to attending training camps and skills clinics whenever they are offered.

Certain restrictions may apply on certain packages and features.  All package have a one-time $150 initial fee.  Programs, packages, and prices are subject to change.  **Additional charges may apply.  Travel to event/location plus room and board may be additional charge.
