He is intimately involved with his athletes and coaches, expertly seasoned, wise, and very experienced in the physical, strategic and mental battles both on and off the race course.
Business Chann always had a passion for sport beyond the pedals, and learning the business of professional cycling was a key component to growth and continuity of his career. While Chann continues to race both triathlon and cycling events at a world-class level, he’s also built CMCI into a coaching and consulting business servicing pro and amateur athletes, teams, events, and manufacturers. Four years riding on the pro tour paired with solid, reliable multi-tasking skills has given Chann the ability to professionally manage many people at once, including up to 50 coaching clients at a time. Team, event organization, and logistics planning are his specialties. Furthermore Chann is intimately, expertly seasoned in cycling and triathlon intricacies. Through all phases of Chann’s life, sport has been there, and he’ll be there for his clients and their goals.

Coaching The best athlete does not always make the best coach. Yet there are those who indeed excel at both. Chann has coached athletes individually to improve their fitness, compete in cycling and triathlon races around the world and deepen their passion for life and sport. He was taught from the best in the world, including Rick Crawford, Tudor Bompa – the creator of periodization, Aldo Sassi – former head trainer at the Mapei Institute of Sport. Chann’s been coached by world-renowned coaches and sport scientists such as Rod Cedaro – coach to triathlon Olympians and world champions. Chann, the coach, is highly respected as well. He’s presented his methodology of training, Holisitic Training, to the Alleghany Clinic of Sports Medicine, and has coached alongside Dave Scott, five-time Ironman Triathlon World Champion and mentor to other Ironman champions. Chann tailors his approach to the athlete – for pros and elite amateurs looking to cut seconds and fine-tune strategy, and for passionate amateurs with more traditional careers working hard to cut minutes and improve technique and fitness.
His holistic approach considers their lifestyles and schedules, existing skill sets and fitness. Personal and sensitive, yet motivating, Chann ensures athletes feel that they are more than a commodity, and use motivational skills to keep a winning atmosphere. For all of his athletes, Chann knows that sport is for life.
